Archbishop reflects on his summer of oxygen treatments
13 September 2024
Archbishop Gerard Pettipas, C.Ss.R., is the chief pastor in the Archdiocese of Grouard-McLennan. As he often says, he has a three-fold mandate: to teach, to govern, and to sanctify the faithful in his care. The Archbishop is assisted in his ministry by the chancery, the administrative heart of the Archdiocese of Grouard-McLennan. It is in the chancery that all documents related to the diocese are drawn up, recorded, and archived. The principal chancery officials in the Archdiocese of Grouard-McLennan are the Archbishop, the Vicar General, and the Chancellor. The chancery officials are assisted by the Financial Administrator, the Executive Assistant to the Archbishop, the Archivist, a Communications Officer, a bookkeeper and a receptionist. The Archbishop is also assisted in his governance of the Archdiocese by the Council of Priests and the Curia. The Archdiocesan Pastoral Council is an advisory body to the Archbishop.
