Most Rev. Charles Duval ordained Coadjutor Archbishop

On May 14th, 2025, the Feast of St. Matthias, we celebrated the Episcopal Ordination of the new Coadjutor Archbishop of Grouard-McLennan – Most Rev. Charles Duval, CSsR. The ordination was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie, bringing together bishops, priests and lay people from across Canada.

Thank you everyone for joining us for this historic celebration, with a special thanks to the bishops and priests who joined from across Canada, the many volunteers and the staff of St. Joseph Church and the chancery for their help in preparing the night, Eastlink for livestreaming the celebration for us, and many others who helped ensure last night’s Episcopal Ordination was a grand success!

Let us pray for our new Coadjutor Archbishop Charles Duval. We all feel blessed to have you as the new shepherd of our archdiocese, Your Grace!
