On Saturday, April 20th, the archdiocese held its annual finance/information meeting at the Our Lady of Peace parish hall in Peace River. This meeting includes a report of the financial statements of 2023, information on the archdiocese’s investments, reviews of certain policies and the presentation of new and amended policies for parishes.

This year, the chancery staff focused on items such as the logistics and finances involved in bringing foreign priests to the archdiocese, how to properly handle tax receipts and donations to church projects, as well as proper procedures for pastors if they have to evacuate from their parishes due to a wildfire.

Pastors and parish finance council members from across the whole of the archdiocese were in attendance. The information shared in this presentation will be later made available in the annual report we distribute in the fall.
