As part of this year’s Archbishop’s Dinner, Archbishop Pettipas gave a talk on the life of Émile Jean-Baptiste Marie Grouard, the missionary priest who became the first bishop of the region that would eventually become the Archdiocese of Grouard-McLennan. It also provides alot of great information about the early history of Northwestern Alberta.
