Funeral Mass for Fr. Rajmund Dorawa, CSsR – St. Joseph Church, Grande Prairie

We pray for the repose of beloved priest Fr. Rajmund Dorawa, CSsR, who passed away on January 29, 2026. He served in our archdiocese at St. Joseph Church in Grande Prairie and has been retired for several years, eventually moving to a care home in Hythe. Fr. Rajmund was 75 years old.

Fr. Rajmund’s passing comes only a few days after the passing of his Redemptorist confrere Fr. Albert Sterzer, CSsR. Please keep Fr. Rajmund and Fr. Albert, their family and relatives, confrères, friends and the local Redemptorist community in your prayers at this time.

Fr. Rajmund’s funeral will be on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Grande Prairie. A viewing will be held before the funeral beginning at 10am. He will be buried at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Edmonton on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 1:30pm.
