Episcopal Ordination of Charles Duval, CSsR

We are pleased to announce that the Episcopal Ordination of Charles Duval, CSsR as the Coadjutor Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Grouard-McLennan will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 14th. The ordination and Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie, beginning at 7:30 pm.

Tickets are now available in our parishes. Please contact your pastor/parish secretary if you would like to reserve a ticket! This is a ticket-only event to ensure that people from across the archdiocese will have the opportunity to be a part of this most important celebration. Tickets must be reserved by April 25th.

Parking information

We are expecting people from across the archdiocese to attend this most important celebration. Therefore, parking is going to be very limited at St. Joseph Church. The archdiocese encourages all persons attending to carpool and to find alternative locations near the church for parking. Please ensure you do not block entrances or engage in any illegal parking. We want to ensure our celebration goes ahead as smoothy as possible, so please plan your transportation well ahead of time.

Livestream details

For those not able to attend in person, livestreams will be available for the Ordination. In partnership with Eastlink Community TV, the Mass will be livestreamed on the Eastlink Cable network (Channels 10 and 610 in Alberta). It will also be livestreamed online through YouTube.
