Rite of Election Mass coming up on the first Sunday of Lent

All parishioners are invited to the upcoming Rite of Election Mass at St. John the Baptist Cathedral in McLennan on Sunday, February 22^nd. The Mass begins at 1:00 pm. This is a special rite for catechumens who are preparing to be received into the Catholic Church this Easter through the sacraments of baptism, confirmation and the Eucharist, and for candidates, those baptized in another faith tradition who are asking to be received into full communion with the Catholic Church.

Archbishop Charles Duval, CSsR will preside at this special liturgy. A light lunch will be served afterwards.
