Ash Wednesday Collection 2026 coming up on February, 18th

The Ash Wednesday collection this coming February 18^th, 2026 is the fifth and final one assigned to the Indigenous Reconciliation Fund initiated in 2022 by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops. The Archdiocese of Grouard-McLennan pledged to raise $165,000 for programs that would be proposed by local groups or organizations, presented to a local committee for selection and then forwarded to an independent firm in Toronto for approval. All funds raised by the Ash Wednesday collection are to be invested into programs or projects within the archdiocese.

The Ash Wednesday collection for 2027 onward will be used for property repairs or restorations to mission churches or rectories in the archdiocese.
