On Saturday, April 26th, the archdiocese held its annual finance/information meeting at the Our Lady of Peace parish hall in Peace River. Priests and parishioners from across the archdiocese were in attendance.

This meeting includes a report of the financial statements of 2024, information on the archdiocese’s investments, reviews of certain policies and procedures, and the opportunity to take questions from pastors and concerned parishioners.

The chancery staff also focused on the financial difficulties the archdiocese will face this year, due especially to a lack of funding from Catholic Missions in Canada for 2025. In working towards financial self-sufficiency, Archbishop Pettipas stressed the need for unity in the archdiocese, to recognize that the local parish and the diocese are both central parts of one family.
