Here is a short excerpt from the evening Mass our archdiocese hosted for this year’s Lac Ste. Anne pilgrimage on July 27th, one day after Pope Francis’ historic visit to the pilgrimage site. Archbishop Gerard Pettipas celebrated alongside Fr. Bill Bernard, Fr. Bernard Akum and local pastor Fr. Les Kwiatkowski.
Cree hymns were provided by Grouard parishioner Manny Chalifoux, and responses such as the Kyrie, the Our Father, and the Sanctus were sung in Cree by Fox Lake parishioner Leslie Joe Laboucan.
